Volkswagen Tiguan styling
The compact SUV showcases a completely fresh and innovative design. One of its most remarkable features is the commanding appearance of the front, accentuated by sleek LED headlights and a glass-covered horizontal strip. The radiator grille openings have been relocated to the outer edges of the bumper, where air curtains enhance optimal airflow.
This silhouette boasts muscular shoulders over the wheel arches, accommodating wheels of up to 20in in size. At the rear, a novel horizontal LED strip adds a distinctive touch to the unmistakable Tiguan rear design.

The Tiguan's interior introduces a fresh and innovative design concept, characterised by its exceptional material quality and craftsmanship. Furthermore, the redesigned cockpit layout is user-friendly, seamlessly integrated, and boasts a sleek and modern aesthetic.
The key components include the all-new Digital Cockpit, featuring digital instruments presented in a tablet landscape format with an anti-reflective coating, an expansive infotainment screen measuring up to 38cm (15in) that showcases a completely revamped menu structure and graphics, a novel head-up display projecting information onto the windshield, and a multifunctional driving experience switch with an integrated OLED display.
The newly introduced rotary control, equipped with its mini screen, offers the ability to manage driving profiles, adjust radio volume, and even customize ambient lighting colours. On the other hand, the IDA voice assistant2 simplifies the adjustment of numerous vehicle and infotainment functions through natural language commands.
Volkswagen Tiguan drivetrains
MQB evo opens up the possibility to incorporate a variety of drive configurations in the Tiguan. These options encompass a turbo diesel engine (TDI), turbocharged petrol engines (TSI), mild hybrid turbo petrol engines (eTSI), and plug-in hybrid systems (eHybrid), all of which will be exclusively paired with the automatic direct-shift gearbox (DSG) in the future.
Similar to the Volkswagen ID. models and the new Passat, the forthcoming gear shifting mechanism in the Tiguan will involve a steering column switch positioned to the right of the steering wheel, featuring an intuitive operation. To engage forward drive, simply turn the switch forward to "D," and for reverse, move it backward to "R." Additionally, activating the parking brake is as simple as pressing the switch's side. Furthermore, all Tiguan models come equipped with paddle shifters located behind the steering wheel.
