Vauxhall Corsa styling
The outgoing model isn’t exactly past its prime yet, but the revisions Vauxhall has made ensure the Corsa stays looking sharp. The biggest change it up front, where the new headlights and grille bring its looks in line with newer models like the Astra.
Vauxhall coins the visual look as the “vizor”, and it’s much more streamlined and cleaner than he current model. Aside from that major change, everything else stays relatively similar – the silhouette is the same, while the rear looks pretty much like for like with the current generation too.
That said, the eagle-eyed will spot a plethora of new badging and decals, with “Corsa” now scripted along the entirety of the boot lid. There’s some new alloy wheel designs too, while the whole look is set off with a contrasting gloss black roof.
Vauxhall Corsa interior and tech
Inside, Vauxhall has upgraded several areas of the trim, but the biggest change is with the infotainment and digital driver display. All models now get the larger 10in touchscreen display as standard. The system supports Android Auto and Apply CarPlay too.
You’ll find the graphics have been improved too, particularly on the 7in digital driver display. Other tweaks include a revised steering wheel design and a new gear selector switch, which replaces the traditional stick on automatic models.
Connected 3D Navigation is available too, as are over-the-air updates allowing access to the latest features and developments without visiting a dealer. Intelligent voice control with natural voice recognition helps drivers keep their eyes on the road, too.
Vauxhall Corsa engines and drivetrains
The petrol-powered models remain the same as before, with a number of 1.2-litre units available with varying power outputs. However, a new mild-hybrid model is in the works, which will utilise a small motor to boost efficiency and economy. This will be available in the coming months.
The fully electric version sees a notable improvement in the form of a larger battery pack. The 51kWh model can be specified with either a 136hp or 156hp electric motor, with the latter being a new option. Official stats show it’s capable of more than 250 miles of range – a notable increase over the 136hp’s 220-mile offering.
