Tesla Model Y Long Range
The all-new Long Range model replaces the Rear Wheel Drive model and, thanks to some improvements with the battery, its efficiency is much improved. The Long Range now offers up to 373 miles between charges – that’s around 100 miles more than the outgoing model.
This puts it at the top of its class when it comes to outright range, beating other models like the Volkswagen ID.5. Aside from the battery tweaks, there’s now a heat pump as standard, while a revised tyre design has also helped eek out those extra miles.
Tesla Model Y Long Range seven seater
On the face of it, not much (if anything) has changed when it comes to style or interior tech on the Model Y – for that we’ll have to wait for the all-new model to arrive – probably towards the end of 2025.
However, for the first time int he UK, the Model Y can be specified as a seven seater. This £2,500 option is available on the new Long Range model, and obviously increases the practicality of the Model Y for families.
It’s fair to say the rear-most seats will be best suited for children, but with the third row down you’ll still get 753 litres of space – an impressive feat and a very usable space considering those extra seats will be hidden away under the boot floor.
