Subaru Solterra lease deals available now
The all-new Subaru Solterra is now available to lease, with deliveries of the brand’s first EV set to commence in the coming months.
It gets a range of around 280 miles and Subaru promises its off-road capabilities mean it has all the hallmarks that make a Subaru a Subaru. Here’s what you need to know.
Subaru Solterra styling
From the outside, the Solterra shares its look with the Toyota bZ4X – a new model revealed earlier this year – and that’s no surprise considering it shares its platform too.
However, notable differences include a revised grille and bumper designs, while the headlights have been stylised to fit in with the rest of the Subaru line-up.
Subaru Solterra interior and tech
One of the two photos Subaru has shared ahead of the car’s full reveal show a cabin that includes two screens – one digital driver display and a larger central infotainment touchscreen. It also appears it features touch-sensitive buttons that likely control the climate control.
The digital driver display is 7in in diameter and stretches far ahead of the driver, with a flat space between the steering wheel and display.
Subaru Solterra drivetrains
The Solterra features an electric motor producing either 201hp or 215hp, depending on if you go for a front-wheel drive variant or the all-wheel drive (the latter getting slightly more power).
Both options feature a 71.4kWh battery pack that provides enough juice to offer a range exceeding 280 miles. Subaru has also confirmed the car gets an ‘X’ mode that will enhance off-road capability thanks to a revised traction control system.
