The sleek Evoque hasn’t been around all that long, so changes to the outside are liable to fly under the radar. However, a close look reveals there’s a new grille up front, which is paired with a fresh set of headlights that are even slimmer than before.

Front and rear bumpers have also been refreshed, incorporating new trim pieces that can be specified in bronze. There’s some new alloy wheel designs too, with up to 8 options now on offer in a range of sizes.

This is where Range Rover has focused its efforts. Compared to the outgoing model, you’ll notice that the design of the new model gets a much more minimalist look. This is primarily thanks to the removable of almost every button.

The 11in infotainment screen also features a distinctive curve which helps differentiate from other models on the market. The driver is also treated to a vivid digital display too.

It’s been influenced by the latest Velar model, and borrows styling cues such as the central gear selector control design. A host of trim can be specified, including wood and leather-effect eco-friendly material.

The range of petrol and diesel models goes relatively unchanged, with all but the 2.0-litre diesel featuring a smooth automatic transmission (the diesel gets a manual six speed).

The biggest development is the tweaked P300 plug-in hybrid model. Featuring an electric motor and 1.5-litre petrol engine, it can manage 39 miles on electric power only, while producing more than 300hp.
