Polestar 4 styling
We’ve known the Polestar 4 has been coming for a while, with several concepts hinting as to what we can expect a production car to look like. It takes lots of its styling cues from the Polestar 3, featuring a similarly styled front end with the brand’s trademark “Thor’s Hammer” headlights.
Things change down the side though, with the new model taking on more coupe-like proportions than the smaller 3. The roof line slopes neatly into the boot, where you’ll find one of the car’s stand-out features – it doesn’t have a rear window.
In its place, you’ll find a rear-mounted camera to help visibility. You’ll also find a full-width light bar at the rear, while the look is finished off by a set of huge alloy wheels.
Polestar 4 interior and tech
The 4 starts off where the 3 leaves off – it features the same minimalist interior manufactured using quality recycled and eco-friendly materials – but it’s still bristling with tech. The driver gets their own digital display, while a central touchscreen dominates the dashboard.
This controls the majority of the car’s functions. A further look reveals there’s actually a third screen that’s normally where the rear-view mirror would be. This provides a constant rearward view via that aforementioned camera.
It’s certainly a roomy cabin, with ample space for five adults and around 500 litres of boot capacity. If you want a little extra space, you’ll find there’s a further 15 litres of capacity in the “frunk”.
Polestar 4 drivetrains
The Polestar 4 will be available with either a single electric motor or dual motors, depending on specification. All models feature a 102kWh battery pack that will provide up to 300 miles of range in the single motor, and 270 miles in the dual-motor.
The dual-motor also happens to be the quickest Polestar to date, producing 537bhp. It gets from 0-62mph in just 3.8 seconds and features a top speed of 124mph. Charging capacity is up to 200kW, which will allow an 80% charge in less than half an hour.
