Mini Cooper JCW styling

The Cooper JCW Electric gets a model-specific body kit, which helps mark it out from more sedate models. There’s a more aggressive look all round, with side skirts, a beefier body kit and aero-focused bumpers.

18in alloy wheels come as standard, with all the trim finished in gloss black. Other neat details including a chequered flag effect rear number plate panel, contrasting brake callipers and a raft of JCW logos and badging.

Mini Cooper JCW interior

On the inside, you get the same beautiful circular infotainment system as the standard car, but the graphics have been updated to reflect the car’s more potent performance.

Sports seats are standard and feature a mixture of artificial leather and hand-woven trim, while the dashboard stands out thanks to a contrasting red chequered design. There’s also a grab handle on the dash, and the sports steering wheel features matched red stitching.

Mini Cooper JCW powertrain

The Cooper Electric JCW gets a 56kWh battery, which allows for up to 251 miles of range. In the real world, this means you should be getting around 200 miles between charges.

With 258hp, it gets a healthy performance boost over the standard Cooper Electric. 0-62mph takes just 5.9 seconds. While this isn’t as quick as some other EVs, Mini has focused on making the Cooper JCW Electric a dynamic performer.

The suspension set-up is unique to this car, while all JCW models will feature improved tyres to ensure it’s every bit as fun as you’d expect an electric hot hatch to be.
