Mazda CX-60 styling
The CX-60 is an imposing SUV, and sits a little longer than the current CX-5. While it borrows some notable Mazda styling cues, the CX-60 ‘s design is bolder than most other models in its range.
Up front, there’s a large grille, and the headlights appear more recessed than previous Mazda SUVs. Round the back, the c pillar (between the rear door and boot) is short, giving the SUV a sculpted look.
The tail lights are large and wrap around the side of the body and carry on into the boot lid. The whole look is finished off by a selection of attractive trim, with three trim levels offering a variety of different external finishes from launch.
Mazda CX-60 interior and tech
On the inside, things have also been thoroughly refreshed – although some Mazda hallmarks remain. For starters, the infotainment touchscreen remains a floating unit in the centre of the dashboard. However, it’s now a large 12in unit that features smartphone compatibility as standard.
Overall, the interior has a classy feel and looks thoroughly well put together. Depending on trim level, you’ll get features like dual-zone air conditioning, keyless go, electric seats and automatic cruise control. Exclusive Line is the entry-level model, Homura is the mid-range choice and Takumi tops the range.
Aside from trim levels, customers will be able to opt for two further packs: the convenience pack and driver assistance pack. A panoramic roof is also optional on Homura and Takumi models.
Mazda CX-60 drivetrain
From launch, two mild-hybrids will be available, as well as a plug-in hybrid petrol. The latter is the first PHEV from Mazda, and features a 2.5-litre petrol engine combined with an electric motor. Combined, they produce 330hp and thanks to its battery, it’ll travel up to 37 miles on electric only range.
The mild hybrid line-up is made up of a 3.0-litre petrol engine and a 3.3-litre diesel, both being six cylinders. We’ll bring you full specs when they are revealed.
