Kia EV4 revealed in full
Kia has taken the covers off its all-new EV4, which will aim to take on the Volkswagen ID.3 when it arrives later this year.
Filling the gap between the compact EV3 and larger EV5, the EV4 shares many parts with these models and will be available as a saloon or hatchback. Here’s everything you need to know.
Kia EV4 fast facts
- 58kWh and 81kWh battery options
- Upwards of 350 miles of range
- Saloon and hatchback versions offered
- E-GMP platform shared with EV5
- Set to hit UK market later this year
Kia EV4 design
It’s clear the EV4 takes its design cues from the other EVs in Kia’s range. Up front, the stunning Tiger face design remains present, with a pair of headlights neatly integrated into the bumper and front wings.
Sharp and distinctive, it certainly offers something a little different in the looks department compared to many of its rivals. Interestingly, the EV4 will also be available as a saloon as well as a hatch, bucking the trend of manufacturers abandoning this body style.
According to Kia, it offers a fresh take on the saloon, thanks to its sleek low lines and long-tail silhouette. Depending on spec you’ll get things like 19in alloy wheels and specific GT-Line trim.
Kia EV4 interior
Kia hasn’t revealed the interior yet, but we know it’ll take inspiration from the EV4 concept of 2023, and probably use lots of bits we’ve already seen in the EV3 and EV6. That means a dual-screen set-up that spans the driver’s side and central portion of the dashboard.
It could also make good use of recycled materials, with elements such as recycled cotton. We’ll bring you more details on the interior as soon as it is revealed – likely on 27 February.
Kia EV4 powertrains
Like the interior, no official details have been confirmed on the drive and powertrain, although it’s very likely that 58kWh and 81kWh battery options will be available, and the EV4 will sit on the E-GMP platform that underpins Kia’s other electric vehicles.
As soon as we hear more details, we’ll be sure to let you know.
