Jaguar I-PACE: Amazon Alexa now available for all-electric SUV
Amazon Alexa* is now available in the all-electric Jaguar I-PACE, and all other new and existing Jaguars fitted with the Pivi Pro infotainment system**.
The engineering teams from Jaguar and Amazon have worked in close partnership to ensure the seamless integration of Alexa with the Pivi Pro infotainment system. This collaborative approach to development ensures that Jaguar customers will enjoy the same Alexa experience in their vehicle that they already know and love from home, and benefit from even greater functionality in the future.
The seamless integration and Alexa’s ability to understand commonly-used commands makes voice control simple and intuitive. Requests such as ‘Alexa, navigate me home’, ‘Alexa, play my chill-out playlist’ and ‘Alexa show me nearby coffee shops’ can all be done just by asking. So Jaguar drivers can make more of their world, while keeping their hands on the wheel and their eyes on the road
‘Alexa, ask Jaguar if my doors are locked’ and ‘Alexa, ask Jaguar to start the climate’ are just some of the features you can access remotely, wherever you are with the Jaguar Remote Skill for Alexa^ (UK and US customers only). This is perfect for Jaguar I-PACE customers, who may want to ask ‘Alexa, ask Jaguar to check my range’ and ‘Alexa, ask Jaguar if my car is fully charged’.
Alexa is available to existing owners of compatible models* via a software-over-the-air update. Owners will be notified via a message displayed on their vehicle’s touchscreen. Setup is easy, all customers have to do to link Alexa to their Jaguar InControl account is scan the QR code on the Pivi Pro touchscreen and then follow a few simple steps.
