The Hyundai i20 N is now available to lease, with monthly prices starting from less than £300 per month.

Hyundai i20 N styling
On the outside, it’s based on the standard i20 supermini, albeit with inspiration taken from the larger, sportier i30 N. That means a unique front grille design that resembles a chequered flag, a notably sportier front bumper, a beefier body kit and, at the back, a spoiler on top of the roof.
The body kit and sportier trim are marked out in red, just like the i30 N. As for body colours, there’s six to choose from, while an optional contrasting black roof will be available too.
Hyundai i20 N interior and tech
The interior is much the same as the standard car, although there are some nice additions. These include a set of front sports seats, an N-specific steering wheel, aluminium pedals and a host of N-specific trim bits too.
It gets the same impressive 10.25in infotainment system as other i20s, although it benefits from sportier graphics and even features its own lap and acceleration timers.
Engines and gearboxes
The turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine produces 204hp – pretty much on par with the Fiesta ST – its main rival. With a 0-62mph time of 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 143mph, those figures tally up with the Fiesta too.
All models feature a six-speed manual gearbox, while the driver has five modes to choose from. It’s called the N Grin control system and features: Normal, Eco, Sport, N and N Custom.
The latter allows you to set up the car’s feeling to your own requirements. The i20N gets a launch control system too.
