GWM ORA rethinks naming strategy

Chinese brand GWM ORA has today confirmed that it has implemented a new naming strategy for its models on the UK market.

The Funky Cat is set to be renamed as the ORA 03, while the original launch variant trims have been re-launched as Pure+ and Pro+.

Aside from a change to the badging and trim levels, changes to the affordable EV itself are minimal. The rear badging has obviously been changed, and now features chunky ORA lettering.

As standard, the Ora 03 Pure+ gets features such as wireless phone charging, facial recognition, electric front seats, app integration and ‘Hello ORA’ intelligent voice assistance.

The Pro+ offers an increased 260-mile official range and a host of enhanced features including cooled and massaging front seats, a heated steering wheel and a panoramic roof.

A few new colours will also be available, including Moonlight White with contrasting black roof.

GWM ORA is set to continue its ambitious plans in the UK, with further variants and models set to be introduced soon – the upcoming fastback saloon looks fantastic.
