Goodwood Festival of Speed: Top five new car reveals you’ll be able to lease soon (or right now)
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is kicking off this year on 12th July. As ever, it’s a really popular event and one of the key happenings in the UK’s automotive calendar.
As well as an array of priceless classics and supercars in action and on display, there’ll also be a host of new releases dotted around on show. So, what are the most important cars you’ll be able to get up close and personal with?
Here’s five new cars that’ll be on show that you’ll be able to lease very soon (or order right now!).
BMW 1 Series
BMW always puts on a good show at the FoS, and 2024 is no exception. Pride of place on its stand goes to the all-new 1 Series hatchback. It’s one of the most significant overhauls the Golf rival has ever had.
The styling has been completely reworked, with a new “forward leaning” radiator grille that features an innovative structure and unique look. The cabin gets a complete refresh too, with a stunning digital driver display and infotainment screen neatly integrated together.
Available to pre-order now, we’ll bring you the very best leasing plans on the new 1 Series as soon as they’re revealed. Read more about it here.
BMW X3
Another fresh face from BMW comes in the form of its X3. Aiming to take on the Mercedes GLC, the revised model gets a fresh exterior and borrows lots of styling cues from the latest X1.
A range of petrol, diesel and plug-in models will be offered, with the PHEV model capable of up to 55 miles on electric-only power. The M50 will top the range with a six-cylinder petrol engine, capable of getting it from rest to 62mph in 4.6 seconds.
UK specs are due to be confirmed soon, and we’ll bring you more info as soon as we have it. In the meantime you can read all about the new X3 by clicking here.
BYD Seal U
BYD is making a storm on the UK market, and its latest model (and only plug-in hybrid to date) will be on show at Goodwood. The Seal U is now available to order on Leasing.com, and can be considered the SUV version of its impressive Seal fastback.
With 60 miles of electric range, a large 16in rotating infotainment system and plenty of room, it should be another hit for the upcoming brand. You can compare Seal U deals on Leasing.com right now, or click here to read more about the new model.
Alfa Romeo Junior
The Junior has had an interesting few months. Largely because it wasn’t meant to be called the Junior at all – it was originally destined to become the Milano. However, it’s here now and it looks fantastic.
Sitting below the Tonale in the range, the Junior is the first Alfa to be available in all-electric form, and takes the shape of a compact crossover. A range of 1.2-litre hybrid models will also be offered, while the electric variant should be capable of more than 250 miles between charges.
It’s actually available to order via Leasing.com partners right now. Click here to jump straight to deals, or read our full Junior article to find out more about this stunning baby Alfa.
JAECOO 7
JAECOO is the sister brand to Omoda, and plans to offer a range of premium, high-end off roaders. It’ll use the Goodwood Festival of Speed to launch the new JAECOO 7 model to the UK and European market.
Offering a range of front- and four-wheel drive platforms, it’ll be available with a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, with plans to expand the line-up further with plug-in hybrids and all-electric variants.
With UK deliveries scheduled for late 2024, you can read more about the JAECOO brand here. Alternatively, check out lease deals that are available right now on the Omoda 5 – JAECOO’s sister brand.
