The most ghastly lease deals on ghoulish rides… if they actually existed
Halloween is here. Perhaps you’re scanning the supermarket aisles for costumes, out trick-or-treating with the kids or just carving a pumpkin. Whatever you’re up to, there’s always time to squeeze in a spooky movie or two.
You might already have seen our Ecto-3 lease deal. With its nuclear reactor and ghost-busting capabilities it’s a bit of a steal. This got us thinking about some other monstrous movie motors that you might (or in this case, might not!) want to lease.
Here’s our top five leasing deals inspired from five of the most terrifying cars ever to hit the silver screen (that you can’t actually lease).
Disclaimer: These are not real deals. They do not cost from £666.66 per month and you certainly cannot lease the possessed Plymouth Fury from the movie Christine.
If you want spook-tacularly good deals on cars you can lease, however, we’ve got you covered. Check out the widest choice of offers by clicking here.
Death Proof – Chevrolet Nova
Half horror movie, half muscle car homage? Death Proof sees a sinister ex-stuntman drive a 1970 Chevrolet Nova among other vehicles – a car he claims is “death proof.” With a matte black paint job and skull-and-crossbones detailing, it’s a spine-chilling take on a cult classic. Of course, it’s must be a Tarantino movie!
The film is clearly inspired by the muscle car movies of the 70s (think Vanishing Point, Dukes of Hazzard), and with its skull and crossbones mural and matt black paintjob, can a car really look more menacing than this one?
Jeepers Creepers – Chevrolet COE
One of the scariest rides in horror, this WWII-era Chevrolet COE was modified to monstrous proportions in Jeepers Creepers. Driven by a demonic entity, its rusted exterior and cow catcher make it an unforgettable terror on wheels.
Not the most practical commercial vehicle though, and it’s advisable to have a tetanus shot after driving this rusty heap.
Christine – Plymouth Fury
In Stephen King’s Christine, a gleaming red 1958 Plymouth Fury becomes a murderous force, possessing its owner and haunting the entire town. This one might add a bit of classic style to your driveway, but you’re better off living without its demonic possession in our opinion.
The Munsters – Munster Koach
Nothing screams Halloween like The Munster Koach. Built by Grandpa Munster himself, this custom hot rod is an eccentric blend of a hearse-inspired body, exaggerated length, and spooky detailing that made it a household icon in horror comedy.
It certainly stands out from the crowd – and will frighten the neighbours to boot.
The Car – Lincoln Continental MKIII
In the 1977 cult classic The Car, a mysterious black Lincoln Continental Mark III terrorizes a small desert town, seemingly controlled by an evil spirit.
This hulking, modified matte-black menace may not actually be available to lease, but other luxurious saloon options are available. None will be quite as anxiety-inducing as this one though.
