New Citroen e-C3 revealed in full
Citroen has taken the covers off the all-new Citroen e-C3 – an electric car that’s set to be one of the most affordable when it launches in 2024.
Taking influences from the Citroen Oli concept, it could cost less than £23,000. Here’s everything you need to know.

Citroen e-C3 styling
Despite having a focus on affordability and comfort, Citroen hasn’t been sat on its laurels when it comes to the styling of the new e-C3. It takes direct inspiration from the Oli concept that was revealed last year.
It gains the same square headlights design, and features a tall, crossover-like silhouette, ditching its predecessor’s supermini proportions. It’s also the first new Citroen model to feature the brand’s all-new insignia, which is present on the front of the bumper.
Round the back, there’s a pair of tail lights that mirror the design of the front, although the rear is toned down in comparison with the Oli concept. It doesn’t look dissimilar to the Volkswagen T-Cross from the rear.
Three trims will be available from launch, with a range of 16in and 17in steel and alloy wheels on offer, depending on the model you go for. Elsewhere, the e-C3 retains some design elements of the current car, like that bulbous lower section on the doors.
However, there’s no air bumps present, like there is on current Citroen models; just chunky black plastic trim around the wheel arches and bumpers.
Citroen e-C3 interior
The Citroen’s interior gets an equally original design, featuring recycled fabrics and a new steering wheel design. However, the central infotainment unit you see in these pictures won’t be available on entry-level models; you’ve got to use your phone instead, courtesy of a mount.
However, all other models feature the 10.25in touchscreen, which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There’s no digital driver display – instead you’ll find all the key info is displayed along a ledge high up in the dashboard.
Citroen e-C3 drivetrain
Featuring a 44kW battery, the e-C3 can muster up to 199 miles of driving range from a single charge. There are also hints a cheaper model will be offered after launch, offering 124 miles of range. This model could cost as little as £17,000.
The electric motor drives the front wheels, and produces around 110hp. That’s enough to get it from 0 to 62mph in 11 seconds.
Citroen e-C3 release date
With list prices set to make the e-C3 one of the most affordable EVs to date, it’ll be an eagerly anticipated model. It’ll hit the UK market next year and cost less than £23,000 (exact list prices and specs are to be confirmed).
