Citroen C3 Aircross revealed in full
Citroen has revealed its all-new C3 Aircross, following the debut of its smaller sibling last year.
Featuring up to seven seats and borrowing styling cues from the Oli concept, you can consider this the SUV variant of the C3 supermini. Here’s what you need to know.
Citroen C3 Aircross fast facts
- Available as a seven-seater for the first time
- Borrows looks from the Oli concept
- Petrol, hybrid and EV versions all available
- List prices TBC later in the year
- EV will borrow tech from e-C3 supermini
Citroen C3 Aircross styling
The C3 Aircross takes its cues from the smaller C3 supermini, which in turn has styling characteristics from the Oli concept car. As you’d expect though, the Aircross is larger than the supermini.
It rides higher too, and the large rear end makes it clear that this is a practical, family car with seven seats. Overall though, the front and rear end designs offer something a little different and are certainly smarter than the outgoing model offers.
You’ll also notice it gets Citroen’s latest insignia, which harks back to its original logo from the 1920s. A range of funky alloy wheels will also be offered, while contrasting paint on the bumpers and wheel arches offer a degree of customisation for customers.
Citroen C3 Aircross interior and tech
There’s no pics of the interior yet, but you can expect the C3 Aircross to borrow tech and trim from the supermini counterpart.
That means most models will get a 10in infotainment touchscreen, while items like a reverse camera, a wireless charging pad and CItroen’s hallmark “Advance Comfort” seats are likely to be offered too (depending on trim level).
The C3 Aircross will also be a seven seater, and aims to take on cars like the Dacia Jogger. As such, you can expect a third row of seats, with a middle row that is adaptable and adjustable so you can make the most of the available space.
Citroen C3 Aircross powertrains
The C3 Aircross will be available in petrol, hybrid and electric guise, with the latter using the same 44kWh battery pack as the e-C3 from launch, although a larger battery might also be offered. Range and performance stats are tbc.
You’ll also be able to go for a 1.2-litre petrol or 1.2-litre hybrid model, which should be available in both manual and automatic guise in a range of power outputs. We’ll bring you more details as and when they are available.
