BMW X2 and iX2 styling
The unique front-end aesthetics of the new BMW X2 introduce a blend of sporty allure and visual extravagance to the premium compact segment. The focal point is the reimagined interpretation of two iconic brand elements: the BMW kidney grille and twin headlights. These two interconnected components form an almost hexagonal shape, accentuated by a three-dimensional border. For added distinction, the optional illuminated BMW kidney grille known as Iconic Glow gives the vehicle a particularly unique appearance. The model-specific air intake grille showcases a sporty honeycomb pattern finished in a glossy black. On the BMW iX2, the inner section of the enclosed BMW kidney grille boasts intricate detailing and Quartz Silver surfaces.
The headlight units extend generously into the wheel arches. The new BMW X2 comes standard with LED headlights for both low and high beams. These headlights feature two vertical LED units with a subtle arrow-like shape that houses the daytime running lights and turn signal indicators. For advanced lighting capabilities, the Technology Pack offers Adaptive LED Headlights, which include non-dazzling matrix high beams, urban lights, motorway beam pattern, and bad weather light. Additionally, the M lights Shadowline is available with the M Sport Pro Package.
The design of the lower air intake extends deeply and reaches the sides of the front end. It is flanked by graceful, wing-shaped inlays on each side, directing air towards the front apron's air curtains. The bonnet also exhibits a model-specific design with dynamic contours.
BMW X2 interior and tech
At the core of the display and control system lies the BMW Curved Display, a standard feature composed of a 10.25-inch information display and a 10.7-inch control display. These screens seamlessly fuse into a unified unit beneath a continuous curved glass surface that extends toward the driver.
The newly introduced BMW Operating System 9 home screen provides a continuous display of the navigation system's map view or other customizable graphics. The QuickSelect feature enables direct activation of functions without the need to navigate through submenus, and a simple tap on the home icon on the control display brings you back to the home screen. Icons granting direct access to the climate control menu, All Apps menu, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™ are conveniently located next to the home icon.
BMW is introducing an extensive collection of games in partnership with the gaming platform AirConsole, integrated into the BMW Digital Premium suite. These games can be enjoyed when the vehicle is at a standstill, such as during downtime while waiting for the BMW iX2 to charge or when picking up friends and family. Once the AirConsole App is launched, the connection between the smartphone and the car is established by scanning a QR code on the Curved Display. Subsequently, the games become accessible, with gameplay controlled through the smartphone via wireless connection, allowing multiple players to join in the fun simultaneously.
Additionally, audio streaming services can be utilized within the new BMW X2 equipped with BMW Digital Premium. Furthermore, while the vehicle is stationary, the driver and front passenger have the option to access a wide array of video streaming offerings (powered by Xperi TiVo) on the control display.
