  • 25 Jun 2024

Audi has revealed a facelifted version of its most potent SUV ever – the RS Q8.

With all models now getting 600hp, here’s what you need to know about this BMW X6 M alternative.

Audi RS Q8 fast facts

  • 4.0-litre V8 shared with Lambo Urus
  • 0-62mph in just 3.8 seconds
  • Delimited versions get top speed of 190mph
  • Larger grille and new headlights design
  • Order books to open later this summer

Audi RS Q8 styling

Externally, not too much sets the revised car apart from its predecessor. The biggest change is up front, where you’ll find a revised bumper, grille and headlight design. The grille is larger than before, and the headlights get a new daytime running light design.

These matrix headlight units can also been customised, with several different designs available as part of the daytime running lights. Likewise, the tail lights also incorporate a cool chequered flag design.

Round the back, the bumper and diffuser has also been updated to incorporate larger exhaust pipes. Huge 23in wheels set off the design, while a trio of exclusive colours have also been added – Sakhir Gold, Chili Red and Ascari Blue.

Audi RS Q8 powertrain

Two versions are on offer, with both featuring a 4.0-litre V8 engine and Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system. The “entry-level” RS Q8 produces 600hp, allowing a 0-62mph time of just 3.8 seconds.

While top speed is normally limited to 155mph, you can opt to de-limit this, allowing top speed to increase to 174mph or 190mph.

The RS Q8 Performance ups power to 640hp, lowering the 0-62mph time. It also comes as standard with ceramic brakes, no speed limiter and a revised differential aimed at upping possible cornering speeds. Whichever RS Q8 you pick, air suspension and four-wheel steering come as standard.
