Audi Q6 e-tron Sportback styling
While a lot of the tech is carried straight over from the regular SUV, the styling is where the two cars diverge. Up front, things look very similar, with the same intricate grille and Audi’s latest Matrix LED lighting signatures.
Round the back though, the Sportback adds a sloping tailgate to give it a coupe-like silhouette. The change gives the Sportback a slightly lower roofline than the SUV which, aside from giving it a more sporty look, also help optimise its aerodynamics and have helped bump up its range.
The same OLED rear tail lights and lightbar are present though, and overall it’s still clear this is a deriviative of the regular Q6 e-tron SUV.
Audi Q6 e-tron Sportback interior and tech
Inside, things are very upmarket. There are up to three screens depending on the model. The driver gets a 12in digital display that moulds neatly into the centre console under a large glass plate.
Behind this plate, you’ll also find the huge 14.5in touchscreen infotainment system. To the right of this, there is also the option of adding a further 11in passenger display, allowing occupants to control key functionality including media and the climate control.
Rear headroom has been cut somewhat compared to the regular SUV, but it’s still a roomy vehicle.
Audi Q6 e-tron Sportback powertrains
From launch, there are four options to choose from: two single-motor options and two dual-motor choices. Single motor options can be specified with either a n 83kWh battery pack or a 100kWh battery pack. The smaller battery offers around 250hp and a 0-62mph time of seven seconds.
The latter produces around 300hp, and gets from 0-62mph in 6.6 seconds. Its most impressive accolade though, is the range – it can travel 407 miles between charges. With a 260kW charging speed, using a fast charge will see you regain 80% of battery in around 25 minutes.
The dual-motor options also use this 100kWh battery pack, and can charge at an even faster rate of 270kW. However, range figures drop for the dual-motor models to 395 (Performance variant) and 367 miles (SQ6 variant). The SQ6 will get from rest to 62mph in just 4.3 seconds.
