Audi Q6 e-tron fast facts

- High-tech interior with 14.5in infotainment display
- Potent RS Q6 e-tron expected after launch
Audi Q6 e-tron styling
The Q6 e-tron marks a step away from other Audi’s when it comes to styling. Up front you’ll find the biggest change, where you’ll find the daytime running lights are now a separate unit to the main headlights with this split design dominating the front end.
The lights – front and rear – also feature Audi’s latest technology that allows you to customise the daytime running light signatures that are made up with Matrix LEDs.
Round the side, things are more reminiscent of other Audi SUV models, but the wheel arches and rear when feature more curvaceous portions than we’re used to seeing. A range of model-specific alloy wheels have also been designed to help the new car stand out.
Round the back, a full-width light bar runs across the car, while the performance SQ6 model gets a number of extras including aluminium trim pieces on the bumpers and body skirts.
Audi Q6 e-tron interior and tech
The Q6 e-tron is a truly high-tech machine, which becomes evident as soon as you step into the cabin. There are up to three screens depending on the model. The driver gets a 12in digital display that moulds neatly into the centre console under a large glass plate.
Behind this plate, you’ll also find the huge 14.5in touchscreen infotainment system. To the right of this, there is also the option of adding a further 11in passenger display, allowing occupants to control key functionality including media and the climate control.
The Q6 e-tron is a large car, being around 100mm longer than the Q5. This means the interior is rather capacious, offering excellent practicality. There’s up to 526 litres of space in the boot but, because this is an EV, you’ll find an extra 64 litres of storage under the bonnet.
Audi Q6 e-tron drivetrains
From launch, you’ll be able to pick between two models – the Q6 e-tron quattro and the SQ6 e-tron. They both feature a 100kWh battery, and produce 387hp and 489hp respectively. The least powerful offers up to 385 miles of range, while the SQ6 e-tron can manage up to 372 miles.
Another impressive feature is the charging capability, with both models accepting up to 270kW via a fast charger – that beats many rivals from other German brands. The result is an 80% charge can be achieved in just over 20 minutes, with 160 miles of range added in around 10.
It’s not confirmed yet, but we can expect an even more potent RSQ6 e-tron to arrive shortly after launch. We’ll bring you more details on that as and when we get them.
