Aston Martin unveils stunning DB12
Aston has taken the covers off its all-new DB12 “super tourer”. With stunning looks, a beautiful interior and a 4.0-litre V8 engine, it takes off where the DB11 left off.

Aston Martin DB12 styling
While it’s obvious that this is Aston, with many similar design cues to the DB11, a closer look reveals this is an all-new model. First off, at the front you’ll find a huge gaping grille that dominates the entire bumper. It sits between a swoopy pair of headlights and large air intakes that mould neatly into the front splitter.
At the rear, there’s a new pair of boomerang-style tail lights that are larger and longer than ever before. The teardrop coupe design is beautiful, with the rear screen tapering neatly into the boot lid. As standard, you’ll et huge 21in alloy wheels and a choice of breath-taking colours – like the green you see here.
Aston Martin DB12 interior and tech
Aston has taken a big step up when it comes to interior and infotainment. You’re cocooned in the driver’s seat with a vast centre console taking up much of the space between the two seats. Moulding neatly between it and the dashboard, you’ll find a slick 10in touchscreen infotainment system that supports smartphone mirroring.
The driver also gets a vivid digital display that shows all the key info on the go. The interior itself is opulent in the extreme and a worthy competitor to cars such as Bentley’s Continental GT. Physical controls remain too, with the gear selector control nestled neatly between a row of buttons for the climate control and other features.
Aston Martin DB12 drivetrain
Aston hasn’t gone electric or hybrid just yet; under the DB12’s bonnet you’ll find the same fire-breathing 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 used in the DB11. However, power has been increased to 680hp, resulting in a top speed north of 200mph, and a 0-62mph time of just 3.5 seconds.
There’s no official news on a V12 variant yet, but that’s likely to appear later in 2024. It’ll likely be an improved version of the current V12 found in the DB11. We’ll bring you further info and specs as soon as they’re revealed.
